The American Premier League is one of the more interesting T20 tournaments in the world and if you are looking for any kind of information for this competition, we have you covered. All of its match fixtures and schedule, team information, live streaming and telecast, and format can be found below.

How is the APL Played? The APL Format

The first ever edition of the APL was supposed to be held in 2009 but after a string of delays it was hosted in 2021. Six teams participated in that competition and they played each other once in a round-robin format before the top four at the end of that group stage featured in the semifinal.

In 2023, the American Premier League saw its second edition played and a seventh team was added to the competition.

All seven teams played each other other once, making it 21 group-level games and again, the top four teams on the points table at the end of that group stage, will make the semifinals.

American Premier League 2024 Schedule

The third edition of the American Premier League will be played in December 2024. The exact schedule is yet to be released but reports suggest that a total of 24 matches will be played in the APL this season starting from December 19.

The tournament will go on till December 31 when the final will be held.

On all but the first and the last days of the tournament, two matches will be played. The tournament opener will be held on December 19 between Premium Americans and Premium Windies.

The semifinals will be hosted on Saturday, December 30 while the final will be held the very next day.
