Lucknow Super Giants Auction Activity for IPL 2024
LSG made their squad for IPL 2024 after roping in five players from the auction this season.
As was the case with the other side as well, Lucknow bolstered their pace bowling stocks but wasn’t quite able to bring in the top-notch players they would have liked.
Instead, they were forced to shell out an INR 6.4 crore for Shivam Mavi, who while talented is an unproven quantity. Also coming into the squad is David Willey for whom the Super Giants spent INR 2 crore.
Slow left-arm bowler Manimaran Siddharth has done a stellar job in restricting batters in T20 cricket and he was purchased for INR 2.40 after the side got into a bidding war while Australia’s Ashton Turner and left-arm medium pacer Mohammad Arshad Khan were bought in for INR 1 crore and 20 lakh respectively. IPL 2025 LSG player list is placed above.

What Happened in IPL 2023?
For the second season running, the Lucknow Super Giants finished third in the points table and for the second season in a row, they were knocked out of the competition in the Eliminator itself.
This time around they won four of their first seven matches and then added another four more in the second half of the competition to end on 17 points. Unfortunately for them, they were pipped to the third spot by Chennai Super Kings on net run-rate and that meant they were forced to play in the Eliminator again.
Mumbai Indians ended their campaign thereby beating the Super Giants by 81 runs in the Eliminator.
