Everything about the BBL 2024-25
What is the BBL? Big Bash League is a domestic, men’s T20 competition which has been held every season since 2011-12. It replaced the traditional T20 tournament that was held in Australia before that.
Eight teams fight it out in the league stage each year before the top four make it to the playoffs. The typical format of the league stage and playoffs has varied over the seasons but in the previous season there were 40 games played to decide the top four spots.
This meant that every team featured in 10 games with the top two facing off in a Qualifier while the teams placed third and fourth playing in an Eliminator in a playoffs format that is used around the world.
