Everything about the Nepal Premier League 2024
What is the Nepal Premier League? This is Nepal’s attempt at having a domestic, franchise-based T20 competition. Currently, it’s a men-only tournament and more information on the women’s competition will be released soon.
Eight teams will feature in the 2024 NPL. Each team will face off against the remaining seven in a round-robin manner following which the four playoffs will be held for the teams finishing in the top four on the points table.
That makes it a total of 32 matches in the competition.
Where will the NPL 2024 be played? All matches of the first-ever edition of this competition will be held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal.
How Did They Qualify for the Nepal Premier League 2024?
There was no qualification process in deciding the teams featured in this year’s Nepal Premier League. There was an auction for the team ownership which was held on September 5, 2024.
Based on this, the following eight teams were selected by the team owners for the following cost:
