The 12th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will be played in 2024 and the latest news from the Caribbean is that Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have been unveiled as the new team.
More information on the CPL 2024 including its schedule, squads and player lists, live streaming and broadcasting options along with the format in which it will be held has been updated below.
Six teams will feature in this year’s Caribbean Premier League as well.
These are Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings and Trinbago Knight Riders.
Jamaica Tallawahs, who had finished third in this competition last year, will no longer be a part of this competition and will be replaced by Antigua & Barbuda Falcons.
Guyana Amazon Warriors start off the tournament as the defending champions.

Caribbean Premier League Teams Squad 2024
The squads for the 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League will be released closer to the start of the tournament. An important update here is that Jamaica Tallawahs will not feature in the 2024 edition of the tournament and will be replaced by a side from Antigua and Barbuda. They will be called Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

Caribbean Premier League 2024 Format
A total of six teams will take part in the 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League. Each of these sides will take on all the remaining five teams on two occasions with matches to be played on a home and away basis.
At the end of the group stage of the tournament, i.e. after the 30 group games are finished, the top four teams on the points table, will qualify for the playoffs which will be held between October 1 and 6.
Teams placed first and second will face off in a qualifier with the winner making the final. The third and fourth-placed sides will play each other in an Eliminator with the losing team crashing out and the winner facing the losing side from the first Qualifier. The winner of this match will then make the final as the second team.
