India to Host 2025 Asia Cup Trophy
The Asia Cup 2025 will be the 17th edition which will be hosted by India. What we also do know about this tournament is that it will be held in the T20 format. We are still awaiting more information about this edition of the tournament but till then here’s what happened in the previous edition of the Asia Cup which was played as an ODI tournament. Six teams namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and UAE are set to participate in this T20 tournament.
Asia Cup Tickets 2025
We will have more information on how to buy the 2025 Asia Cup very soon. Typically speaking, the tickets for matches played in India are sold at Paytm and Insider but that’s more a thing for bilateral series. Let’s wait and watch how the tickets for the 2025 Asia Cup can be bought by cricket fans. Tickets will also be available offline at retail outlets.
Asia Cup 2025 Schedule
We are still awaiting the schedule for the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup. What we do know is that the tournament will be played in India in October 2025.
What would be interesting to see is if Pakistan tour India or if the matches are played in a hybrid mode like was the case in the previous edition given the security issues between the two countries.

Asia Cup 2025 Groups & Format
We will have more information on this once the team list and schedule is announced. Six teams will take part in the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup as well with hosts India joined by Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
Much like the 2023 edition of the tournament, the 2025 Asia Cup’ will see these six teams being split into two groups.
India, Pakistan, and UAE will form the Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are in Group B.
Each team will play two matches apiece in the first round of the competition with the top two sides from that stage moving into the second round, i.e. the Super 4 stage.
In the Super 4 stage, all four teams will face off against the other three sides, making it six more matches during this time with the top two teams making it to the final.
The tournament comprises 13 matches in total, including group stages, Super 4 matches, and a final. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4, and the leading two teams will contest in the final.

How did the UAE Qualify for Asia Cup 2025?
UAE made it to the Asia Cup 2025 by winning the ACC Men’s Premier Cup in which they defeated Oman in the final.

India holds the championship title from the previous event, played as a T20 tournament. They had beaten Sri Lanka in the final after qualifying for it on the back of wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan and despite losing to Bangladesh in the Super Four stage.
The tournament will feature the 5 full members of the Asian Cricket Council: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka along with UAE, who won the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
