What Have The Two Teams Done So Far?
A fighting display from Oman didn’t come close to stopping Australia in their opener before the 2021 champions demolished England to register their second win from as many games and get to four points from two matches.
Namibia were involved in a tie with Oman that they went on to win before Scotland cruised to an easy win over them in the second game.
What this means is that Namibia now need to take points from this fixture to keep themselves in the Super Eights hunt.

Australia had come into the tournament as one of the favourites and they have done nothing to dispel that. In fact, against arch-rivals England they took the bull by its horns while batting and then choked the English batting to death in response.
A score of 201 was never going to be an easy one to chase down for England after Australia led by David Warner’s top-score of a mere 39 pummelled the opposition at every stage.
England did get off to a 73/0 start in seven overs but once the ball became a touch softer, Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa ensured there was no coming back into the encounter for England.
And that’s where Australia score over most oppositions – their belief they won’t lose whatever the situation.
Namibia will be reasonably pleased with their batting efforts in both the games so far, although captain Gerhard Erasmus would have hoped for some more batting support against Scotland.
He made a 31-ball 52 but got no support from anyone else.
Erasmus then starred with the ball as well but none of their match-winners from the previous game – David Wiese and Ruben Trumpelmann – did much of note while bowling.
