Everything about the Ford Trophy 2024-25
What is the Ford Trophy? New Zealand hosts Ford Trophy every year as a part of their domestic calendar in which this competition sits as a premier List A tournament.
Contested by the six teams which feature in the domestic season, the Ford Trophy is typically played over the New Zealand cricket season with each of the teams facing off against the other five on a home and away basis.
As a result the six teams play 10 List A matches (50-overs-a-side) and at the end of this group stage of the competition, the top three teams make it to the Finals. The team that’s finished at the top of the table makes the final while the teams ranking second and third face off in the Elimination Final as a means to decide which of them will become the second side to make it to the title-decider.
