What is the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier? As the name suggests, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier is a competition that is played across various countries spread all over the world as teams look to qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
A total of 20 teams will take part in the 2026 T20 World Cup and 12 of them have already made it through – either based on their performance in the last Men’s T20 World Cup or on the basis of their ICC T20I Rankings.
This means a total of eight spots remain to be taken and teams from world over will feature in different tournaments to make it through.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier tournaments include:
- Europe Qualifier: Two teams will make it through to the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup from this competition.
- Asia & East Asia-Pacific Qualifier: Three teams will qualify for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup from this tournament.

2024–25 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier
The African leg of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier will have eight teams taking part in the competition of which two will qualify for the main tournament in 2026.
Two of these eight teams, Namibia and Uganda, have already qualified for the Regional Final while the remaining six slots will be filled up through the sub-regional qualifiers. There will three tournaments, Qualifier A, Qualifier B and Qualifier C to fill up these spots.

- Qualifier B: Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Zimbabwe

The sub-regional qualifier will be held in December 2024 in Argentina. The winners of this competition will join Canada in the regional final. Canada have been given a bye into the regional final.

The two teams that finish at the top of the points table at the end of this competition will qualify for the Africa Regional Final.
