The Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi will be used to host the matches this season after the last season also had matches played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.
30 league stage games and four playoffs will decide the tournament winner.

What is the ILT20?
To give you a brief introduction to the ILT20, it’s a T20 league competition that is played in the UAE.
It was first kick-started in 2023 but because UAE isn’t a full member of the ICC, the records and statistics associated with this tournament’s first season aren’t a part of the official handbook.
This has been changed for the 2024 edition with the tournament now recognised by the ICC as a List A event. This makes it the first tournament played outside of the Full Member countries to achieve this status.
The 2025 edition of the ILT20 will be its third and all six teams which have played previously will come back to feature in the tournament.

What Happened in the 2024 International T20 League?
It was the turn of the MI Emirates to clinch their first-ever title at the ILT20 when they defeated Dubai Capitals in the final.
MI Emirates piled up 208 for three batting first in the final before restricting Dubai Capitals to 163 for seven in response to grab the victory. This was after MI Emirates had sent Gulf Giants packing from the first Qualifier, defeating them by 45 runs – the same margin as the final.
The league stage of the competition had seen MI Emirates and Gulf Giants finish at the top of the table with 12 points apiece while Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Dubai Capitals ended third and fourth with eight points apiece.
What Happened in the 2023 International T20 League?
Gulf Giants, led by James Vince and with Andy Flower at the coaching helm, grabbed the first title of the competition after defeating the Desert Vipers in the final.
Chasing 149 to win the title-decider match, the Giants raced off to victory by getting to the target in 18.4 overs thanks to a whirlwind innings of 72 by Chris Lynn. Earlier, the Giants had restricted the Vipers to 146/8 thanks to Carlos Brathwaite’s 3/19 from his four overs.
The Giants finished at the top of the points table with seven wins and just one defeat but then lost their Qualifier to Desert Vipers. They made amends by overcoming the MI Emirates in the Eliminator to make it to the final.
Hales top-scored the run-scoring charts by making 469 runs for the Vipers but it was the tournament’s highest wicket-taker, Chris Jordan (20 wickets) who grabbed the man-of-the-series award as well.
