The JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi, which is a short for Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium is one of the newer stadiums in India after having been established in 2011.
The first ever international played at this stadium was in 2013 when India hosted England in an ODI and it was later opened to Indian Premier League matches a well with Chennai Super Kings having also played their home games at this venue.
The state of Jharkhand used to host their domestic – and international – matches at the Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur but following a tiff with the owners Tata Steel, the JSCA decided to build their own stadium.
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni played his home domestic matches at JSCA International Stadium, which has a capacity of 50,000.
Having cost over $23 million to construct this stadium, it has a total area of 130,000 square metre, with the ground having nine pitches along with a practice area that houses a further few pitches.

The JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi has hosted a few IPL matches over the years, having played host to the Chennai Super Kings side.

JSCA International Stadium Ranchi International Match Tickets
The first ever international match hosted at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi was in 2013 when India played England in an ODI. Since then it has hosted both men’s and women’s ODIs and T20Is and has also been the setting for three Test matches.

How to get to JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi by Bus, Metro or Train?
The good news for those wanting to get to the JSCA International Stadium is that it’s within the city limits and is a mere 7 km away from the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. It means that in less than 15 minutes of getting out of the airport, you can arrive at the stadium.
One of the closest five-star hotels from this stadium is the Hotel Radisson Blu.
If you are taking a train, the JSCA cricket stadium is less than 11 km away from the Ranchi junction and a mere 6 km away from the Hatia railway station, making it rather easy to get to the stadium.
