Pre-Tournament PSL Title Odds for This Season
We are still awaiting the release of the pre-tournament odds for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League. We will have them updated along with our preview for the competition below.
Everything about the PSL 2025
We are still awaiting information about the 2025 edition of the Pakistan Super League. Find below everything that was to be known about the 2024 season.
The 2024 edition of the Pakistan Super League kick-started on February 17 this year and went on till March 18 when the final was played.
Six teams, as has been the case for a few seasons, participated in this competition this year with Lahore Qalandars going into the tournament as two-time defending champions. Islamabad United went on to win the title.
Each team faced the other five sides in the competition twice, and while this should technically be on a home-and-away basis, only four venues were used for these 30 group-stage games last season.
Interestingly, Rawalpindi, a city which does not have any team in the competition, hosted a few games in the 2024 season.
At the end of the group stage of the tournament, the 2024 PSL saw four playoffs played. The top two teams on the points table at the end of the round-robin stage faced off in a Qualifier while teams ranked third and fourth played an Eliminator.
The losing team from the Eliminator got knocked out while the winning team then faced the losing team from the Qualifier in what was the second Eliminator. The winner of this game took on the winner of the Qualifier in the final.

What Happened in the Previous PSL?
Islamabad United won the 2024 edition of the Pakistan Super League in what turned out to be a ripper of a final.
Chasing 160 for a win against Multan Sultans, United needed 31 from the final 17 balls with three wickets remaining but the calming presence of Imad Wasim and some lusty hitting by Naseem Shah helped them cross the line.
This was after Wasim had earlier picked up a five-wicket haul to restrict his opposition.
Lahore Qalandars became the first team in the history of Pakistan Super League to defend their title having won it in 2022 as well. In 2023, they carved out a tournament victory in thrilling fashion, winning the final by one run as they overcame Multan Sultans in the final.
The Qalandars and the Sultans had earlier finished on the top of the points table and faced off in the Qualifier too. In this encounter, Multan had come through by bowling Lahore out for 76 in their chase of 161.
In the first Eliminator, Peshawar Zalmi edged out Islamabad United by 12 runs to set up a meeting with the Qalandars in the second Eliminator.
Lahore chased down Peshawar’s 171 with seven balls to spare to enter the final in which they batted first and scored 200/6 in the 20 overs. This was thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi hammering a 15-ball 44.
Later in the match, Afridi grabbed a four-wicket haul but Multan needed four off the final ball to win the game. Zaman Khan restricted the batter to two runs, thereby helping his side clinch the title by the narrowest of margins.
