These are two teams who have struggled in the Indian Premier League over the years and in general, have shown consistency in only one thing – not making it to the playoffs.
Since finishing runner-up in 2014, Punjab has never qualified for the last four stages, finishing last on two occasions. Last year, they finished eighth in the 10-team league and the Shikhar Dhawan-led side will hope they can turn things around.
