What Have The Two Teams Done So Far?
While the path to the playoffs was different for Rajasthan and Bangalore, as can also be seen from the IPL 2024 points table, the momentum that the two sides have taken to the playoffs has been vastly different. Rajasthan finished on 17 points while Bangalore qualified with just 14.

On the other hand, Bangalore looked all but out of the reckoning, having registered just two points from eight games. Off their next six, they won them all to make it to 14 points and edged Chennai Super Kings out on net run-rate.
In fact that last game against CSK which they not only had to win but also by a bit of a margin, they dished out one of the performances of the competition.
That win, despite CSK needing 11 from the final five balls to qualify, would have given Bangalore the kind of confidence they need against a struggling Rajasthan side which is without Jos Buttler.
