What Have The Two Teams Done So Far?
It almost feels strange to say this but Bangalore and Chennai are in a virtual quarterfinal here. While Chennai is currently fourth on the IPL 2024 points table with 14 points and there is Delhi with 14 too and Bangalore is on 12, there is a good chance that Bangalore can move past both these teams if they win by a specific margin.

That Chennai Super Kings are even left with some heavy lifting to do coming into their final group stage encounter is a bit of a surprise. They were sitting pretty with four wins from their first six games and not too far off from their playoffs berth.
