What Happened Last Year at the Saurashtra Premier League T20?
Kutch Warriors won their first-ever edition of the Saurashtra Premier League by beating Gohilwad Gladiators in the final by 21 runs.
Batting first, the Warriors were restricted to 156/7 from their 20 overs, with none of their batters crossing 39. They also collapsed from 127/2 to their final score as Ankur Pawar grabbed figures of 3/24 from his four overs. Aryandev Jhala, Harvik Desai and Samarth Vyas also scored 30s.
In response, the Gladiators failed to get going with only a fourth-wicket stand of 35 offering any semblance of a fight. While Raxit Mehta hit a 41-ball 72 he received no support from the other end, as his team was bowled out for 135.
This was after both, the Warriors and Gladiators had finished on six points from their four matches during the league stage and thereby made the final.
