What Have The Two Teams Done Recently?
Both teams are coming off the 2024 T20 World Cup, playing in their first series since then.
It was Australia who knocked Scotland out of that competition by defeating them in a close game but then fell to losses to Afghanistan and India to crash out of the competition in the Super Eight stage.
Scotland, who defeated Namibia and Oman in the first round of that competition had earlier seen their game against England rained off. Had they managed to edge past Australia, they would have made the Super Eights at the expense of England.
That was not to be.
In the first match of this series, Australia crushed Scotland by seven wickets and with over 10 overs to spare while in the second, the tourists bowled the home side out for 126 after putting up 196 batting first.
