Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Format
Played for the first time in 2006-07, the Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 has been around for a few seasons now and currently, a total of six teams participate in the competition.
Last year there were six teams in the competition but this number has fluctuated between four and six over the years. The 2023-24 season is expected to see the six sides feature in a one-leg round-robin league with the top two then facing off in the final while the teams ranked third and fourth play each other in a battle for the third place.

We are still awaiting information about this and it will typically be released with the schedule information. Last year, all the matches were played in Harare, with the Harare Sports Club and Old Hararians being the two stadiums used for this purpose.

What happened last year at the Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20?
Mashonaland Eagles won the 2022-23 title of this tournament by crushing the Mid-West Rhinos in the final. Batting first, the Eagles scored 173/8 in their 20 overs thanks to Tadiwanashe Marumani’s 22-ball 52 and then proceeded to bowl the Rhinos out for 111 with Wessly Madhevere grabbing 3/15 from three overs.
Earlier, the Rhinos had topped the points table with their only loss in the league stage coming at the hands of the Mountaineers.
Southern Rocks and Matabeleland Tuskers finished third and fourth respectively after the round-robin stage, with the Rocks grabbing the third spot at the end too by beating the Tuskers in their playoff game by 11 runs.
