What is the BPL T20?
The BPL T20 or the Bangladesh Premier League competition is a T20 tournament that is organised by the Bangladesh cricket board in their country.
First held in 2012, it has seen a different number of teams participate in the competition over the years with the 2024 edition being its 10th. While it has had its share of controversies, the Bangladesh Premier League has survived the test of time and will see seven teams participate in a group-cum-playoffs format.
Seven teams will take part in the 2024 edition of the BPL.

Six teams took part in the first edition of this competition in 2012 and over time this number has fluctuated between six and seven. This time around there will be seven sides who will make it to the league stage of the competition. These are:

What Happened in the Previous Edition of the Bangladesh Premier League?
Comilla Victorians clinched the Bangladesh Premier League title for the fourth time as they overcame Sylhet Strikers in the final by chasing down 176 in 19.2 overs.
While Mushfiqur Rahim top-scored for the Strikers with a knock of an unbeaten 74, it was Johnson Charles who rode the Victorians to a win with his 52-ball 79.
This was after these two teams had finished one and two on the points table and faced off in the first Qualifier. Comilla had won that game to make the final before the Strikers overcame Rangpur Riders, the winner of the Eliminator against Fortune Barisal.
