Everything about the Caribbean Premier League 2025
We will update this section with more information about the 2025 CPL very soon. Here’s how things looked in the previous edition.
The 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League will have six teams take part in the tournament like the previous season but there is one change. Jamaica Tallawahs will no longer be a part of the competition and they have been replaced by a team from Antigua and Barbuda.
These six teams will face off in a two-leg round-robin competition with each team playing 10 matches in the group stages of the tournament.
At the end of this stage, the top four sides will enter the playoffs and three matches later, the title-decider final will be held. The tournament will be played between August 29 and October 6 this year.

What Happened in the 2024 Caribbean Premier League?
Guyana Amazon Warriors were a win away from defending their title but it was St Lucia Kings who took that away from by winning the final by six wickets. St Lucia Kings chased down 139 they needed for a win with 11 balls and six wickets to spare to lift the trophy.
A three-wicket haul from Noor Ahmed stopped the Guyana batting in their tracks, restricting them to 138 for 8 in their 20 overs with none of their batters crossing 25.
In response, St Lucia fell to 51 for four at one stage before Roston Chase and Aaron Jones combined to clinch the win for the Kings.
This was after Guyana and St Lucia had finished one-two on the points table at the end of the league stage, winning seven matches each. St Lucia defeated Guyana to make the final, who then overcame Barbados Royals in the second Qualifier to set up their place in the title-decider round too.
What Happened in the 2023 Caribbean Premier League?
In what turned out to be a one-sided final, the Guyana Amazon Warriors eased to a nine-wicket win over Trinbago Knight Riders to win their maiden CPL title.
After restricting the Knight Riders to 94 in 18.1 overs, the Warriors chased it down in 14 overs thanks to a half-century off the bat of Saim Ayub. Earlier Dwaine Pretorious bagged a four-wicket haul for the Guyanese team.
This was after Guyana and Trinbago finished one-two on the points table at the end of the league stage of the competition. St Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs also qualified for the playoffs but were knocked out before they made the final.
