What is the Delhi Premier League T20? Held for the first time in 2024, the Delhi Premier League T20 is a premier t20 competition played in the capital city of Delhi. It consists of six teams from within Delhi and held under the auspices of the DDCA.
Six teams feature in a league-cum-playoffs competition in this tournament. The top four teams at the end of the group stage of the tournament make it to the playoffs where they play a further four matches to decide on the eventual winner.
Each team features in 10 group games and anywhere between one and three further matches in the playoffs.

What Happened in the Previous Edition of the Delhi Premier League T20?
The first ever edition of the Delhi Premier League T20, which was held in 2024, was won by East Delhi Riders who edged out South Delhi Superstarz by three runs to grab the title.
East Delhi were aided by Mayank Rawat’s sterling 39-ball 78 which included five sixes in the final over of their innings, pushing the team’s score 183 for five in their 20 overs. In response, South Delhi were left struggling at 109 for seven in the 14th over at one point but staged a solid comeback from there.
Tejaswi Dahiya was at the centre of that, pushing his side to the penultimate over needing just 26 to win. Unfortunately for the Superstarz, Dahiya departed in the 19th over to leave his side in trouble, eventually failing to get over the line.
Earlier, East Delhi Riders finished on the top of the points table with seven wins from their 10 matches and then overcame North Delhi Strikers in the semifinals to enter the title-decider. Superstarz defeated Purani Delhi 6 in the other semifinal to claim their spot in the finals too.
