The A teams from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh get a direct entry into this competition.
The remaining teams qualified for the tournament via the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup in which UAE had beaten Oman to win the title and Hong Kong overcame Nepal for the third spot. In essence, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong made it through.

Pakistan A surprised India A in the tournament’s final in 2023 to clinch the title. Aided by Tayyab Tahir’s rollicking century, Pakistan A piled up 352/8 in their 20 overs before bowling India A out for 224 with Sufiyan Muqeem picking up 3/66.
