The next edition of the Big Bash League will be held in the 2024-25 season and it will be the 14th edition of the tournament. It will be hosted from December 15 and go all the way through to January 27, the day its final will be held.

Big Bash League 2024-25 BBL14 Squads
There is no change in the number of teams participating in this 14th edition of the Big Bash League with eight of them continuing to take part. These include Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes.
Brisbane Heat will start as the defending champions after having won their fifth BBL title last season. The BBL squads for this 14th edition of the tournament will be announced below. BBL Format
Last year, the top five teams made it to the playoffs. This format saw the teams ranked fourth and fifth face off in an Eliminator, with the winner taking on the team placed third in the group in a knock-out qualifier.
The teams played first and second, faced off in a qualifier with the winner making the final while the losing team took on the winner of the knock-out qualifier in what was called the Challenger.
The winner of the Challenger faced the winner of the match between the number one and two sides.
For the 2024-25 edition of the competition, the Big Bash League will see the top four teams make it to the finals with the top two facing off in the first match and the teams ranked third and fourth taking on each other in a knockout eliminator.
The winner of the first playoff makes the final while the losing team will take on the winner of the Eliminator to decide the second finalist.

How to watch the Big Bash League this season?
The Big Bash League can be watched worldwide using various options.
In Australia, the tournament will be broadcast live with Fox Sports and the Seven Network. Last season, 61 matches were broadcast with Fox, including 16 telecast exclusively, while the Seven Network had rights to 45 matches. If you were looking to listen to the live radio commentary of the tournament you could do that using SEN Radio.
The tournament was also streamed live online with Kayo Sport in Australia.
Indian fans watched the BBL live last year with the Sony TV network including the Sony LIV app to stream live on their devices. Sky Sports Cricket was in charge of telecasting the tournament live in the UK while in the USA, fans could watch it with Willow TV.
