The tournament will have 10 teams separated into two groups as was the case in the previous edition as well. ‘Hosts’ Bangladesh and the top six ranked teams from the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa qualified directly, with the final 3 spots filled by Pakistan and two other teams from the global qualifying tournament.

The teams have been divided into two groups. The top two teams with the most points will advance to the semi-finals. Here’s how the two groups are looking after Sri Lanka and Scotland qualified for the competition from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier that was held in UAE earlier this year.

The 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in October featuring 23 matches. The schedule for this year’s competition has been released and the tournament will begin with a Group B double-header.
