ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2026 Format
We are still awaiting the format for the 2026 edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. Here’s the information on how the 2024 event went.
The Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier for 2024 will see 10 teams feature in the tournament.
Two of these, Sri Lanka and Ireland, have made a direct entry into the competition through the previous Women’s T20 World Cup that was played in 2023 while the remaining eight have entered this tournament through the regional qualification rounds.
The following teams featured in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier:

- Vanuatu
- USA
- Netherlands
- Scotland
- Uganda
- Zimbabwe
These teams were divided into two groups of five sides apiece, with each of them playing four matches during the group stage.
At the end of the group stage of the tournament, the top two teams from each of the groups made the semifinals with the winners of those matches entering the final.
The two finalists will qualify for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Sri Lanka and Scotland were the two finalists who will also play in the main tournament later in 2024.
