Everything about the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2024
These are still very early days in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League with the tournament being just two seasons old. The 2024 edition will be the third time it will be played.
And much like the previous two editions, only three teams will be participating in this year’s Women’s CPL as well. These are Barbados Royals Women, Trinbago Knight Riders Women and Guyana Amazon Warriors Women – all of whom have featured in each of the three seasons so far.
In this third season, the WCPL will have each of the three teams face off in a two-leg league stage and the top two sides at the end of this round-robin stage will make the final for the title decider. All the six group games and the final will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in San Fernando, in Trinidad.

Having topped the points table with three wins from four games, Barbados took the form into the final at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad where they chased down the 94 they needed for the win with ease.
It was Aaliyah Alleyne’s bowling which saw her grab 4/21 off her four overs that broke the opposition backs and won her the player-of-the-match award. And despite a bit of a stutter during the chase, Chamari Athapanthu’s unbeaten 39 ensured there would be no twists in the end.
